Typical – Having an Orthopedic surgeons testify as an expert on a pain condition instead of a board certified pain specialist. My orthopedist described RSD as a “mild increase in sensitivity” (and not the life destroying wrecking ball of misery that it is) and another one told me the only medication I would need to treat RSD was enteric coated aspirin. RSD/CRPS Definitely has brain effects. Many of the medications used to treat it cause short term memory impairment, cognitive clouding and I can easily see how the combination could produce an amnesia like effect.
