Last year, she had a nervous breakdown as a result of the pain and feelings of guilt because she’s not able to do the things she wants to do with her children. She is unable to work.
“Money is very tight after paying the bills and buying food and paying for some of my medication. I take 16 pills a day,” Julia wrote in a letter to Valley Santa. “I also have to travel to Philadelphia to see a specialist for the reflex sympathetic dystrophy.”
She asked for Valley Santa’s help so that her 12-year-old twin girls, her youngest children, have presents even though they haven’t asked for anything.
“I asked them what they wanted for Christmas and they said for mommy to be out of pain,” Julia wrote. “It broke my heart that they didn’t want anything for themselves but they want me to be out of pain. My wish for them is to have them open a present that I know will put a smile on their face on Christmas Day.”
Julia’s daughters want to be fashion designers and she hopes they can receive Bratz dolls for Christmas. She hopes that for a little while, they won’t worry about her and will be happy when they open their presents.
